Relentless till the end
Forgive me for getting all poetic again, but six days ago we left our drive and turned left and today we arrived at our drive from the other direction. Now if that isn't a full loop, I don't what is. Has it all been plain sailing? Certainly not, as will know from previous blogs. For the last two years, we have cycled trips of over 1,000 miles over three weeks with no rest days. This was a third of the time and distance. But it was tough. I think we had visions of ambling along over our beloved Dales while the sun shone and the birds sang etc etc. Little did we know that this week would be a heady mix of wind rain and cold. We knew it was forecast but really? That bad? We didn't believe it. As I sit here back in the living room, the sun is streaming through the windows and there are people outside mowing their grass.
